Les Deux Maisons offers bed and breakfast all year round in Liglet, one of the most beautiful villages in the Vienne, in the heart of South West France. Les Deux Maisons, Bed and Breakfast offers a chance to get away from it all with a stay in one of our stylish and elegant rooms, which have been lovingly created by Brigitte and offer a luxurious experience.
All the bedrooms and guest areas have been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and have a unique French vintage style, using locally sourced soft furnishings, furniture antiques and French curios from local Brocantes and « Vide Greniers ».
In addition to the elegant en-suite bedrooms, guests also have use of a cosy lounge during their stay, a private courtyard with seating and their own entrance to Les Deux Maisons, enabling them to come and go as independent travellers and experience the area at their own pace.
Liglet itself offers a popular local bar and restaurant « Le Sapin Vert » where guests can enjoy some amazing local wines and the daily Plat du Jour. There is also a local boulangerie where traditional baguettes and bread are still baked on site daily.
The Vienne is a haven for wildlife, walking, cycling and birdwatching, with its network of quiet leafy lanes, streams, rivers and lakes. There is a real sense of calm and tranquillity in the area, with its low population, lack of traffic, lack of noise and pollution and some of the cleanest air in Europe.
Liglet is also just a few kilometres outside the Brenne National Park, said to be one of France’s best kept secrets, with over 1000 ponds and lakes, rich and varied birdlife, local flora and fauna and interestingly a number of swimming beaches.
